Reawakening to the Family of God, with Jesus and One Another

The gospel of Christ calls us, again and again, to reawaken from our social loneliness and fragmentation and return to our original family, and our original, Life-giving parent, whom John, in his New Testament letter, names as Love (1 John 4:7-10).  The Lord’s prayer, beginning with “Our Father” (Matthew 6:9, Luke 11:2), which Jesus gave us as an example of how to pray, is itself such a call back to this family.  And the New Testament proclaims throughout that we are, and can become, fellow children of God through the power of Christ within and among us. 

How do we grow from our separate selves, in this individualistic age, into the family of God, of divine Love, from which, in out birthright, we all have come?  

Through shared worship, scripture, journaling and creative expression,  we will invite Love to shine on this query and on our lives, that we might see our particular needs and our healing way home together into God’s beautiful, ever-unfolding family of Love.
